"This book is certain to have readers turning pages. The beginning, alone, has this innate interweave of complex ghost stories that converge onto a murder mystery. And when the pieces begin to fit together, it becomes an awesome intense ride into dark and selfish intentions that never die, versus a dangerous gambit for both truth and freedom! Barbara Woster, I applaud your excellent ghost story telling! And that is coming from a guy who loved to scare his sister and her friends with scary stories told over the light of a single candle in the darkness of a creepy basement." ~ Edge of Insanity
"The Monterey Cliffs Sanatorium on top of the hill is not the place to be on a dark and windy night. Mandy Bartonelli tries to solve the many disturbing events that have plagued the descendants of her family tree, leading her to the now-defunct Monterey Cliff Sanatorium. But be careful what you go in search of...The story jumps from present to past a bit but still delivers. All in all, Edge of Insanity is an entertaining, haunting story. I enjoyed it." ~ Edge of Insanity
"This is a strong tale of family horror. Others note its brevity as if this is a weakness, but I appreciate it. It's refreshing to read a complete tale where the author does not over indulge herself or 'tell' too much. Just show us the story and let us fill in the blanks, and that it what we get with Edge of Insanity. Maria is a great protagonist, good to follow and easy to care about." ~ Edge of Insanity
"“Edge of Insanity” was a nice complex novel and was very well written. It starts out in the middle of a story and introduces a few characters right away. However, BJ Woster does a great job of characterizing each character individually. You immediately learn the most important information without the stereotypical “info dump”. Then, as the story goes on, you learn the back stories that you need to know. This book writes like a James Patterson or Mary Higgins Clark book, where each chapter may focus on a new character or story line, but then they all sync together eventually. Woster writes very beautifully. Her words and sentences flow nicely. Her sentences have many adjectives and does not feel forced or over-written. You don’t lose interest in her writing and feel immersed in the plot. She also provides some interesting historical content that doesn’t feel like historical fiction. It then turns into an almost folklore/ghost tale that leads to an interesting end with closure. In addition, her book also switches back and forth in different time periods but it does not get confusing. It is always clear and it provides for a good plot. Her writing has the perfect balance of information, description and suspense. Nothing is cliche or overdone, despite the temptation for it to be. Some of the topics Woster touches on can turn cliche very easily but hers does not! Everything that she writes comes out smoothly and I can’t wait to read more of her books!" ~ Edge of Insanity
"Paranormal books aren't always my preferred genre, but I was recommended Edge of insanity by a friend and I am so glad I was. It is gripping, the story is vivid and there are unexpected twists (which of course I won't say anything about!). I would definitely recommend this book, and will be looking into other books by the author." ~ Edge of Insanity
"Good Horror book really enjoyed" ~ Edge of Insanity
"Enjoyed the premise and the execution of this story, and was surprised at how it gripped me throughout. Hits the paranormal and horror tropes really well and at times the crime elements too. An interesting read that would definitely suit fans of the listed genres. Wasn't particularly long, so a quick(ish) read for anyone looking to try something a little different. Solid story, worth a look." ~ Edge of Insanity
"The writing was good which makes you really identify and care about the characters in the story. It kept me reading and engaged." ~ Edge of Insanity
"I really enjoyed this book. The story was well developed and well told. While things were wrapped up a little to quickly, cleanly, and neatly which lessened some of the suspense, it was still an excellent read. The writing was strong which makes you really identify and care about the characters." ~ Edge of Insanity
"A bit scary but not too bad. Not much gore, lots of suspense. Story follows several generations of a family mystery." ~ Edge of Insanity
"Appreciate the books offered free for Kindle more than I can say. This book was one of the good ones." ~ Edge of Insanity
